Packaging & Box Contents:

It comes in a thin plastic box. In addition to the case itself, there are stuff like a  30-pin port and a headphone jack cap, which will protect those ports from dust and dirt.

Looks & Design:

From the name itself, it is clear that the design is something related to ‘dots’. Yes, it is brimmed with dots on the outer part. The dots pattern gives an elegant look to the case, especially the white version being gorgeous. I’m sure the red version will look much better! The stitching is perfect although the ends of the cut outs are a bit sharp. The iPad doesn’t fit tightly and some of the portions of it go up. It’s a slight let down. There are cut outs for the 30-pin port, headphone jack, volume rockers, mute/orientation lock slider, camera, mic and speaker. They are easily accessible without any hassle. The case comes with caps for the 30-pin port and the headphone jack. These might be useful while carrying the iPad outside which will protect it from damages from dust or dirt.
The colour combinations Capdase chose are excellent. Green in White, Green in Black and Black in Red.

Usability:

The case is lightweight and won’t add much weight to the tablet. This is a very good point of the case I noticed. But even though it is light weight, it adds a kind of bulk. It seems that Capdase has finely engineered the case to give a balanced look and protection for the iPad. The front cover not only provides serious protection to the display, it folds to provide two different adjustable viewing positions. One in a standing angle, for watching movies, or photos and the other at an elevated typing position, for browsing and office works. It follows a different method of keeping it in the standing position, where it has a flap like thing which will keep the front cover folded in position. There’s the magnetic screen wake/sleep function too. It works surprisingly well.

The exceptional feature in this Capdase case is the non-slippery strap, which helps to hold the iPad in one hand for reading convenience.

Bottom Line:

The Capdase Folio Dot Folder Case for the Apple iPad 2 and 3 delivers an awesome blend of  looks and protection for a very reasonable price at Rs. 2499 (41$). It’s currently available for only Rs. 2,199 on Flipkart. The beautiful textures and the shock-absorbing soft pads make it an excellent shot to go for.
